ABOUT THE MISSION
The D-Day Squadron is proud to present the 2024 Legacy
Tour, an exceptional initiative to commemorate both the 80th
anniversary of D-Day in Normandy and the 75th anniversary of
the Berlin Airlift by retracing the historic “Blue Spruce Route”
across the Northern Atlantic with a feet of WWII-era aircraft.
This route refers to the ferry and refueling navigational path
from North America to Europe that was leveraged during the
war. The signifcant undertaking aims to honor the courage
and sacrifce of the Greatest Generation, promoting the
enduring legacy of freedom and democracy they fought for.
